RESPONSIBILITIES
The City Clerk/Manager, under the direction of the Mayor and City Council, plans, organizes, maintains and controls the fiscal operations of the City of Tombstone. In addition, the City Clerk/Manager, provides support to the City Council, provides direction and vision for organizations, manages the City’s financial affairs and represents the City as its Chief Fiscal Officer, provides overall leadership and direction to the entire City Government. The City Clerk/Manager is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the City Council.
MISSION STATEMENT
The City Clerk/Manager will provide the City Council with options to aid its decision making process. It is the mission of the City Clerk/Manager to address the needs of the people of Tombstone by implementing Mayor and Council directed policies and plans to meet those needs, to safeguard community resources, as directed by the Mayor and the City Council, and to provide cost-effective government in order to make Tombstone a great place to live, work and visit.
